Using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) software, Open Access World (OAW) hopes to provide an economical, efficient, and professional hosting service to scholars and editors interested in publishing their academic journals online. OAW was launched by a couple of editorial staff members of Pakistaniaat: A Journal of Pakistan Studies. As a result, you can be sure that we understand this software from a user’s perspective. We offer hosting plans for your specific hosting needs with payment options that ensure the long-term sustainability of your journals and websites. Please also visit our Support Site for more details.
Pakistaniaat: A Journal of Pakistan Studies
Pakistaniaat is a refereed, multidisciplinary, and open access academic journal offering a forum for scholarly and creative engagement with various aspects of Pakistani history, culture, literature, and politics. Housed in the English Department of the University of North Texas, Pakistaniaat is a sponsored journal of the American Institute of Pakistan Studies. Available online as well as in print, Pakistaniaat publishes three issues per year. All sales of our Print Version support our online open access mission.
Cognitariat: Journal of Contingent Labor
As an open access refereed journal Cognitariat hopes to offer an open platform to all scholars, students, and activists who have or are laboring as contingent and temporary workers within the current regime of the so-called cognitive capital. Cognizant of the precarity of contingent workers and their fear of reprisals, we can, if asked, publish your work without revealing your identity.
Note: We publish one volume per year. Items are continuously added to the Table of Contents of the current volume as they move through our review and editorial process.
